I’ve written about this everywhere else, so it was high time I wrote about it here on my own blog. 🙂 I’m not sure how many readers I have here, but this has always been my place to chronicle all the cool things I’m finding in Trello, so I’ll keep it going by showing you the latest and greatest in Trello.

Over the years, I’ve had many people ask me how to build a CRM in Trello. So last year I wrote this post for the Trello blog about the ultimate Trello CRM workflow.

And while that process was pretty cool and it worked, it’s still a fairly manual build and isn’t exactly comparable to other CRMs you’d find on the market. But there was a need so people do it and it worked!

Fast forward to a couple months ago, and a team reached out to me telling me they were building a power-up that would turn a Trello board into a CRM and asked if I’d be interested in learning more about it and giving product feedback. They showed me and I was instantly amazed at the capability of this tool. It solved everything that my workflow was missing, and better yet – it did everything right out of the box. Now, a Trello board really could be just as good as any other CRM tool on the market!

This is where Crmble was born (yeah, you can go ahead and click the link and check it out… I’ll wait), and I was invited to join the team and help with marketing and product consulting. We launched the power-up in March and since then over three thousand users have already taken Crmble for a spin.

Here’s what I love about it.

Automated Sales Pipeline Layout

Instead of having to build out all of the standard sales pipeline lists in Trello, you can do it with one click with Crmble.

When you add Crmble to your board, the onboarding wizard will invite you to “add default layout” and with that one click, your board looks like a Sales Piepline!

Custom Contact Fields

Crmble builds your custom fields out of the box so you don’t have to worry about it yourself. Out of the box, you get all the fields you’d expect, like name, phone number, etc.

The date is automatically created when you add the card, and you can change the Origin so show the source of your leads.

Coming soon, you’ll be able to customize these to be whatever you’d like them to be, including the Origin to contain all your sales and marketing sources.

Sync Your Leads Automatically

Tired of having to get your leads from various sources? Crmble lets you bring in your leads wherever they’re created. Currently, you can sync with Gmail, Google Forms, and Facebook Leads… but more sources are coming soon. Including the ability to import your leads from a spreadsheet, so moving your database into Trello is a piece of cake.

The team is adding more sources all the time, but if you have any specific sources you’re looking for, just request it on the User Feedback form. (The team is very responsive and loves getting feedback from users, so you’ll be sure to be heard!)

Reporting on Your Sales Pipeline

Okay, now for my favorite, you can get instant reporting on your sales pipeline with the Crmble dashboard.

Just click the Crmble button on your board, and you’ll be brought to a group of charts like this.

See what percentage of leads move through all the stages of your sales funnel at a glance. You can even filter by date (and soon lead source) so you can slice and dice the data exactly how you need it.

Hopefully now you, too, can see why I’m such a fan of this tool. I’ve found it’s perfect for any contact management use case, from sales to hiring/recruiting, to manager influencers/sponsors and more!
